Easter 2012

We had a fun and family filled Easter Saturday.

We started Friday night with a night egg hunt for Shalee, Brittany, and Devin. This is only the second time my parents have done this. Devin was excited to be grown up enough to join in. My parents hid eggs throughout their backyard and then had headlamps for them to use. Needless to say a major highlight.

On Saturday, we started the day with our Anderson picnic here at our house. Brittany planned it for her Divine Nature project. She was very organized and had things well prepared. We began with the egg hunt and then had tons of fun visiting and eating. Brittany's party was a success, but I ordered way too much food. :)

Saturday afternoon, it was time for the Annual Bulow Easter Party. This has become a huge tradition in our home. From the time Ashleigh was a toddler, there has been an egg hunt at my parent's home. We usually have dad's yummy dutch oven cooking and lots of togetherness time. As our family has grown, it has become more fun. The kids look forward to seeing cousins, hunting eggs, and eating. This year was a lot of fun. Breanna, Barry Bretton, Vallie, Brahm, Taelor, and Braxton hunted eggs together. We missed Gavin and Alexis though. The dinner was fun and lots of time to see each other. Barry Ryan's kids had just completed a triathlon. It was a blast!!

The Easter Bunny found us! He had a lot more hiding places, but these kids are good! This year there weren't a lot of treats, but a new Sunday outfit for each. The Easter Bunny is going to have to get a lot more creative if he wants to stump these hunters!
